WHY DO WE NEED IT?
Educators hardly need to be told about the many demands on school budgets–Museum visits are in danger of becoming a thing of the past. Yet educators also know that these visits open unique doors of experience for young learners that can't be opened any other way.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Participation in GO FOR ART is arranged at least two weeks in advance, along with the other details of the trip, through the office of the Picker Art Gallery Educator. After the trip, as soon as the actual cost of the trip can be determined, the participating school sends this information to us in a request for reimbursement. A check for 85% of the cost of the trip will be sent back promptly.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
All area elementary, middle and high schools will be invited to apply for a GO FOR ART stipend. Reimbursements will be distributed equitably among all towns that apply.

WHAT ARE THE SCHOOLS' OBLIGATIONS?
Visiting students may be asked to create a display-worthy art object as a thank you to GO FOR ART contributors
