SCHOOL GROUP VISITS
Our Education Program offers a variety of activities for school-aged children. The Education Coordinator works closely with each teacher to plan activities that are age-appropriate, thematically meaningful, and memorable for young visitors. Most tours are facilitated by trained, enthusiastic docents and employ Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) to look closely at works from the permanent and temporary collections. Please follow our
VTS link to learn more about this language and aesthetic development technique.
Tours also offer opportunities for small group interaction and hands-on responses such as creative writing and art-making. Tours are free of charge.
Please look at our Go for Art link to learn more about ways to fund transportation for your school trip.
