The Great Patriotic War

The Ukrainian-born Jewish photographer Khaldei is credited with many iconic images of World War II. The Soviet news agency TASS assigned him to cover the Red Army's operations in central Europe, the Potsdam conference, and the Nuremberg trials. This is a selection from the almost 100 photographs that Khaldei donated to Colgate students and faculty during his first visit to the United States in 1995.
