The Friends of the Picker Art Gallery, the Gallery's primary supporters' group, provides vital assistance for acquisitions, exhibitions, publications, and special events. Founded in 1976 on the Picker Art Gallery's 10th anniversary, the Friends have funded the purchase of more than 100 works of art in the permanent collection and sponsored countless lectures, workshops, gallery talks, and special events for Colgate students, faculty, alumni, local families, and other visitors.
